F.A.Q

  • How do I book a tattoo?

All of our artists manage their own bookings, so you will need to contact your desired artist directly to book in. Check out the ‘Artist’ section of our website to view their work, social media links and contact information.

  • How much will my tattoo cost?

Your artist will provide you with a quote for your tattoo once ideas have been discussed and agreed upon. It is not possible to give accurate quotes for large-scale work, so those will usually be charged on a daily rate, half-daily rate or an hourly rate until they are completed. If you have any questions or concerns regarding pricing, please discuss this with your artist before booking.

  • What payment methods do you accept?

Our artists all manage their own payments differently, and they will let you know their preferred method when booking in. If you’re not sure, don’t be scared to ask!

  • Can I bring someone with me?

We have limited space in the studio, so we would prefer it if you come alone to your appointment. The less people we have in the shop, the easier it is to concentrate on the tattoo and keep the atmosphere calm and quiet. If you have any additional needs please discuss these with your artist as we are happy to make exceptions if we know in advance.

  • How should I prepare for my tattoo?

In the run up to your appointment try to get plenty of rest, stay hydrated and eat as well as you can. If you want to moisturise the area then we’d always appreciate that too!

On the day of your appointment it is so important you have a substantial meal before you get tattooed. If you’re in for more than a few hours then please bring a lunch with you, and plenty of snacks and drinks to last the whole day.

Please avoid fake tan/make up on the area you are getting tattooed. We will have to scrub it off and this causes extra irritation for the skin.

You do not need to shave the area, we will do that for you during the session whilst we sterilise and prepare the skin.

If the weather is lovely, try to avoid the sun (or use SPF50) in the run up to your appointment. Unfortunately we cannot tattoo burnt skin, so you may lose your appointment and deposit if you turn up with sunburn.

  • Why isn’t my artist currently taking bookings?

Due to the amount of enquiries we get, sometimes our artists need to close their books and operate a booking day system. This is so we don’t get booked out years in advance and to make sure everyone has a fair chance of getting tattooed soon, without long waiting lists. We appreciate this can be frustrating, but ultimately it means you have more chance of getting in sooner!

The best way to find out who is taking bookings and when, is to keep an eye on your artist’s Instagram or Facebook, as we all post regular booking updates on there.

We also regularly post travel plans and last-minute cancellation spaces as and when they come up, so feel free to apply for those if they suit you.

  • Do you do cover-ups?

We often do cover-ups! There are a lot of factors involved when deciding to tackle a cover-up, such as the size/placement of your tattoo, the tattoo you want to have, and the style of the artist. Our artists will always carefully consider all possibilities, and in some cases they may recommend laser treatment to lighten the tattoo before beginning the cover-up.

  • Can I have some privacy during my appointment?

The studio is open-plan, so there may be other people getting tattooed in the same room as you. If you are getting an intimate area tattooed, you may prefer some extra privacy. Please let us know before booking, as we are able to provide a private room or divider screens to help you feel more comfortable.

  • Can I see the design before my appointment?

We don’t send out tattoo designs before the appointment. This approach unfortunately causes a lot of back-and-forth confusion and stress for both the client and the artist. You will have plenty of time to view the design on the day, and any changes can be made together. Please make sure to provide all necessary design requirements before booking in, to help your artist get it right for you.

  • What do I do if I can’t make my appointment?

Your artist will provide their cancellation policy at the time of booking. Please let them know ASAP if you cannot make your appointment, and be aware that you may lose your deposit if it is outside of the required notice period.

  • Do you do gift vouchers?

We don’t do gift vouchers, sorry!

  • Do you do piercings?

We don’t provide piercings at this time, and have no plans to in the future.

  • Do you do walk-ins?

We are a private, appointment-only studio, so unfortunately we cannot offer walk-ins at this time.

  • Is the studio wheelchair accessible?

Our studio is on the first floor, and unfortunately there is no lift, so we cannot accommodate wheelchairs at this time. We very much hope that one day we can change this.

  • I am taking medication, can I get tattooed?

Please get in touch with your doctor and make sure you can get tattooed before booking in.

  • What should I wear for my appointment?

Please make sure to wear something that keeps you covered and warm, but so the artist can reach the tattoo area. Please ask your artist for advice if you’re not sure what would work, and we will be happy to help.

We are a shoes-off studio, so please bring some warm, comfy socks or indoor slippers to make sure you have a comfortable day.
